This heavy-weight xuan (pronounced "shwen") paper is one featured in our Sumi-E collection. It is known as JingPi- or clean bark paper, crafted in the traditional methods found in An Hui Province of China. This long sheet of paper is suitable for calligraphy, brush painting,  sumi-e,  and relief printmaking. It has been surface sized which is why it appears a little yellowish.
