Aiko's Collection

For over fifty years, Aiko's served the Chicago area and beyond with gorgeous handmade Japanese papers, and the name Aiko's to stamp the excellent care and attention given to sending out the precious commodity they provided. Many artists over the decades turned to Aiko's as the source for their "canvas" of washi...transforming the well crafted sheets into works of art. Although Aiko's closed their brick and mortar store in 2008, the store graciously passed the baton to us so we can continue to provide their exclusive selection of washi to the many loyal customers they built upĀ over the years.

Paper Connection is happy to be the exclusive provider of Aiko's collection of papers. As the first washi store in the US, based in Chicago, IL, Aiko's was legendary in its service and variety of Japanese paper and art supplies they carried.
