All abaca paper is handmade in Ogawamachi, Saitama, Japan.  One side slightly smoother than the other. 

The traditional paper made in Ogawamachi has been designated a UNESCO intangible cultural heritage in 2014.  This paper is lightweight and smooth-perfect for holding detail ink images - like copperplate etching prints or alternative photo processes.
