Frameable Art Scene Tanabata Festival
Tanabata is a summertime tradition feted every July 7. People will write their wishes on colorful pieces of washi, tying them to bamboo. Bamboo branches are also decorated with beautiful strips of handmade paper. These scenes signal a welcoming of summer, celebrated with this festival.
Tanabata literally means the night of the seventh, and it's also known as the Star Festival.
This opaque silk screened paper can be simply framed, as the scene spans the entire sheet.
Yuzen paper, or chiyogami, is a silkscreen of traditional kimono patterns, made in Japan.
Measuares ~ 18 x 24 inches.
